I spent fifteen years inside operations teams watching good businesses buy technology they had no way to evaluate. OpsClarity is the method I wished those owners had been handed first.

The practice

My work began in operations — process design, systems migration, and the unromantic business of making data trustworthy enough to act on. That is where I learned the pattern that defines this practice: almost every failed technology project failed before it started, in the absence of a way to judge it.

By the time AI arrived in every inbox, the pattern had simply accelerated. Owners were being asked to make five and six-figure commitments against demos. Vendors answered questions nobody had established were the right ones. Capable businesses stalled, not from caution, but from having no criteria.

OpsClarity exists to supply those criteria. It scores where a business actually stands, sequences the work that follows, prepares the operation to absorb it, and then measures what came back. It is deliberately unglamorous, and it is the only version of this work I have found that holds up under scrutiny twelve months later.

I work with a small number of clients at a time — owner-led firms in professional services, trades, logistics and light manufacturing, typically between five and two hundred people, usually at the point where growth has outpaced their systems.

Services

AI readiness diagnostics

Scored, evidence-led assessments for owner-led businesses between five and two hundred people.

Implementation sequencing

Turning a direction into a dated plan with decision gates, so spend follows proof.

Data, process and handoff work that decides whether new systems survive contact with the business.

Return measurement

Reporting against a captured baseline through the 90-day support window — the difference between a claim and a result.

Working principles

  • —Measure before recommending. Always.
  • —The most valuable advice is usually what not to do yet.
  • —A tool nobody owns is a cost, not an asset.
  • —If the return can't be stated as a number, it isn't a return.
